About Jessica
Jessica Robinson Gemm is a human resource strategy consultant and success coach who is dedicated to helping individuals, teams, and organizations reach their full potential, performance, and passion.
Jessica started JBR Strategies Inc. because she identified a need to provide HR strategy and coaching services that empower people to focus on what is truly important to their success. With a difficult economy and competing priorities, it is often difficult for anyone to gain clarity on what is most important to them, let alone to live a life that is congruent with those values. As a coach, she provides a balance of probing curiosity and accountability to help her clients achieve their goals, whether professional, personal, or both.
Prior to establishing her own business, Jessica spent over ten years in the non-profit and higher education sectors, as a fundraiser, policy liaison, team leader, trainer, and coach. She was asked to launch and lead the human resources department at College Summit, a fast-growing national organization, where she created or revamped critical processes such as performance management, compensation, and management training, as the staff grew in size from 35 to 120 during those five years.
Now, as a coach, she works directly with individual clients on their goals, both personal and professional. She specializes in partnering with people facing transitions in their lives, such as a new role, career change, increased leadership demands, and personal transformations.
Jessica also serves as a partner in solving the key Human Resources challenges that small businesses, start-ups, and non-profit organizations face. Having built an HR function from the ground up, she brings a unique set of experiences and best practices, sharing what she has learned so her clients' experience in managing HR doesn't have to be painful! Her short-term and long-term partnerships with companies have improved the performance,
accountability, and success of the individuals, their departments, and
the company.
Jessica is a Boston native, and after 15 years living in Chicago and Washington, DC, she and her husband now live in Cambridge with their baby son. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago, and of Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching Certificate Program, which is accredited by the International Coach Federation.
